Shu jo mu hen sei gan do Beings are numberless, I vow to save them
Bon no mu jin sei gan dan Desires are inexhaustible, I vow to end them
Ho mon mu ryo sei gan gaku Dharma gates are boundless, I vow to enter them
Butsu do mu jo sei gan jo Buddha's way is unsurpassable, I vow to become it.
The historical Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, taught Four Noble Truths:
1. Suffering exists
2. There is an origin to suffering
3. There is an end of suffering
4. There is a Path to achieve this end.
The boddhisattva Ksitigarbha (Jizo in Japan) vowed to himself remain among the suffering until all be free from suffering.
Angulimala Buddhist Chaplaincy is a boddhisattva work. We serve all spiritual seekers who find themselves un- or underserved by others, primarily prisoners, ex-convicts, military veterans, homeless persons, hospital inmates, students.
I am Chuanlu (傳路) David Beavers. My Path is to help others seek freedom from suffering: dukkha, unsatisfactory experience of Reality. I am today and ordained Buddhist, an apprentice Zen priest. I have travelled the Paths of Christianity, Judaism, Hindu, and sensual indulgence. I am able to empathize with those seeking a Path that fits.
If, at any time, I can be of assistance to you as a spiritual friend, please contact me at [email protected] or 206-569-8710 Seattle, WA, USA).
